Japan seems even further away with bags half packed and passport just now rediscovered. Notwithstanding, the mood is tired but decidedly excited. This morning hints more at opportunity for adventure and discovery than strictly academic.
May 17 will mark the first academic section of our trip, with a meeting with JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization). I’m curious how they feel Japan serves as a bridge nation, connecting Asia with the rest of the world. Additionally (and for the setting) more importantly, I hope to ask how JETRO facilitates in this positioning/process.
